Thanks for posting this! Can you explain more on the tax guidelines? So if you get legally married in a state that allows it — can you file taxes there? I know you can’t file federal, but can you file state?

Thank you so much for your question. The six states, and DC, that recognize same sex marriages allow the couple to file joint state income tax returns.
